Local Link is a small, community programming cable channel concept. The brief called for full identity development, on-screen graphics templates for broadcast, and 30 sec channel identification spots.

After developing the logo and branding, I built the graphics in Photoshop and Freehand. The screen templates had to be designed to accept digital inserts of various sizes and shapes, so a layered style with rectangluar cutouts was adopted.

The animated segments used the 32 bit capabilities of Macromedia Director to allow precise animation with full alpha channel support, though if I had to do it again, I would take After Effects over Director anyday. The design has been re-purposed for a second regional channel, and is easily extensible into new areas.
