new zealand digital libraryThis is a research project being carried out at New Zealand's Waikato University. I was asked to work on the user interface side - I redesigned the site's look and feel, to make it a little less 'techy' than the original. The colour scheme stirred a little debate at the time, but now, I forget what the talk was about. Goes to show.The segmented nature of the various collections in the Digital Library enforced the '1,2,3' model of the query interface. I endeavoured to make the necessity of this sequential approach crystal clear in the page design. The nature of the Digital Library project means that the site is in constant change - updates, experiments and trials of new technology. I'm no longer involved in the maintenance of the site, so it will probably move away from my design over time.
